After quite a bit of rain in the area, we are looking at a damp start to the Goodwood festival and the forecast going is soft, which has already caused the defection of some of the intended participants.
Have had a quick butcher's and am disappointed to discover just 3 handicaps with fields large enough to sustain an e.w. bet:-( Thankfully there are a few decent handicaps on the supporting cards at Beverley and Yarmouth.

And let's not bring dead heats into it :-)))))))
It is a gloomy Saturday up here. Where's our summer gone? Try to brighten it up with a couple of winners before the Rugby later. Had a free punt on Farasi Lane at 8/1 in the first at Goodwood with 365, and the price has come tumbling down since. Done the Itv7 and an E/W Acca, Trebles and Doubles with singles on the the higher priced runners****. Good Luck if you are trying.

Forgot to point out that i took the 2 odds-on jollies out of the e.w. acca in the ITV 7.
Question Author
Pity Nuites St Georges folded so tamely into 8th:-( A first '5' finish would have added another £70 odd to the day's returns. Had to settle for a £3,26 e.w. on the winner of the big 'un which earned me just over £61 plus the win single in the L15.
Didn't really do a great deal all week but, strangely, one of my better Goodwood's. (Just goes to show how well i usually do at this particular meeting).
Also discovered today that Mr Fahey's horses are running some way below par. Will be giving them a wide berth for a week or so until he pulls his finger out :-)
No joy this end today Ken, what did win didn't give me returns. Still, well up on the meeting, one of my favourites. Don't think that there is much racing in terms of quality next week but I will still keep an eye on the fields and if I fancy a punt I will.
Question Author
Yes, i know what i said as regards Mr Fahey's string but, but.......
The good doctor is responsible for 3 of the 7 runners in the 3.45 Chester, 2 of the 8 in the 4.45 and 4 of the 10 in the last. It would be totally remiss of me not to support at least 3 of his runners :-)

Gabrial the One, Gabrial The Devil and Gabrial's Boy in a Patent and e.w. treble - @ 9s, 15/2 and 10s.

It's only a fiver :-J
