Verstappen over 10 seconds behind, 5 laps to go. Takes a pit stop, now he's even further behind. One lap to go, officials make a decision that puts him level, no seconds behind,on fresh tyres. That decision gifted the championship to Verstappen. The opposite decision would have gifted the championship to Hamilton. The race and the whole championship became...

For me it will be the championship that never was
As others have said the decision at Spa was perplexing and it just sort of spiralled downwards from there
Both teams have been manipulating of the stewards all season but Horner has taken it to another level this year
The whole ending has left a sour taste and some of the decisions by Masi have left the whole set of rules open to interpretation
A one lap shootout with one car on very old tyres against one on a new set of softs whilst only certain drivers are allowed to unless themselves is no way to finish a championship
Not sour grapes because I am a Hamilton fan it is just not the way to settle a title
Hamilton was far more gracious in defeat than I was expecting too if I am honest so kudos to him for that

Based on this F1 stewards decision to dispense with rules which are written down and until now followed by all, why don't we apply the same logic to other sports. If a goalkeeper is quick and retrieves the ball from the back of the net - no goal. If a golfer gets to the rim of the hole, count that as a hole then. Where do you end? If there are rules - obey them and not cherry pick the ones you choose to favour. This win is just not valid, whoever you supported.
