There are few serial winners now in golf, unlike the days of Nicklaus, Palmer, Player etc. RM deviated from his usual routine of having a great round followed by poor performance in winning The Canadian Open. Sometimes the other way round. He seems to be going backwards at the moment. MF has done the opposite so far. Looking at the scores so far today, it looks like the course is playing difficult. I haven't got Sky, so can only look at the leader board on the net.
Brookline was the scene of the infamous green invasion by the Americans after Justin Leonard sank a tramliner. And the European player had yet to putt. Olazabal, I think. Not sure.
Mark James wrote a book about it called Into The Bear Pit. Sorry Ken, none of that has anything to do with betting!
