Does anyone know if the honorary steward David Spearing is at Wimbledon this year? I have been distracted looking out for him, he can usually be seen sitting in the players supporters box wearing his quite distinctive black Stetson hat.

Passed retiring age? come on he's only 83 and is as much a part of Wimbledon as the strawberries and cream. have emailed Wimbledon to ask where he is and if he is well but they choose not to reply.

What are the huge green and blue umbrellas doing in the spectators seats near the front? Are they allowed as they block the view of those behind them?
