Parking In Manchester City Centre

Morning all. Just a general question on parking in Manchester City Centre. Will be travelling up from the Midlands for the Sex Pistols gig at the MEN on Sat 17th Nov by car, but would like to spend the day browsing around the city centre. Can anyone recommend my best and cheapest options for parking all day either in the City or on the outskirts? Thanks v. much.

theres a multi-storey car park on the arena, don't know how much it is but if you leave it there it's good for the city centre till the concert finishes, i wanted to take my hubby to see the sex pistols but they only have tickets left right at the very back!! i'm jealous, enjoy youself!!

... or park at Altrincham and catch a tram.

I usually park at the MEN. I went there for a concert a couple of weeks ago, arriving about 3pm. They have special event parking which cost me �8 I think it was, which wasn't bad.
