Loves 'Orrible when you are 53 and an 'arf.. (part 2)

Well, in the immortal words of "roll away the stone", I went away punching the air saying "made it" cos she said yes, and later on when we did, I went straight for the kill and said I'd like to take her out one night. She said maybe, which thinking about it later was probably no, but the fact she said no so nicely was a big plus.
So again, the waiting game, cos she never came back until this Friday. When she arrived I said "hello Pat" and she said "Hello Michael", and all during the evening there was small talk between us all, and I even got another dance - this time looping her arms around me and getting very close indeed. And when we came to say goodbye, I even got a goodnight kiss (sloppy peck, not a snog). Defo more friendlier, and the signs look good for a date at least...
She still does it for me, but very bad news - I live on the London/Essex border, and she lives in Central London - far too far to consider, let alone sustain, anything other than a friendship. Been there, done that, it it places a strain on things (plus work makes it impossible now anyway). Oh why couldn't she at least live with two miles....it might be another ten years before I get so smitten again, and by then I'll have forgotten why.......
Responses on part one please.

Ok there is the 'distance'...errmm....it can't be THAT insurmountable. It isn't like a 5-6 hour drive,or train, plane or bus ride,is it?? And if you are that smitten...then surely she is worth the effort?? And if she is worth it...then 60 mins or 6 days won't get in the way of true love.
