man utd "fans"
Has anybody noticed whenever man utd gloryhunters write to the media, IE Skytext / Newspapers etc, They always begin with...."As a man utd fan" blah, blah, blah, As if it gives them some credence to let everybody know they "support" them, Every genuine footy fan knows that they are the most despised "fans" in football

He had a shop under the Gaumont Cinema in Wilmslow Road just after Platt Lane. I lives with my grandparents for a while who lived in Platt View, just off Platt Lane. This must have been around the early fifties. We used to play in Platt Fields, but I think it has all changed now.

I don't particularly hate Man U, but I do think that Sir Alex is one of the most underachieving managers in England. Couldn't win a thing when he arrived, and just as they were considering replacing him, off field activity gave him so much money to spend on players that even he couldn't fail domestically. 23 years he has been there, with Man U the richest club in the world for over half of those years, and they have been European champions just twice. Once with two goals in injury time and once after a penalty shoot out. Nottingham Forest won their second European Cup a mere four years after Peter Taylor joined Brian Clough at a club in what is now the Championship. 23 years of moaing about referees even when the replay shows they were perfectly correct, 23 years of childish 'mind games' and six years of refusing to talk to BBC Sport because of a programme that was nothing to do with them. I wish he'd grow up. Rant over.
