XP Home Security Virus???

Hello one and all, my problem seems to be similar to some other recent postings about viruses/malware/spyware. Mine though opens in an alert window informing of infection and the need to take action and to register for full version etc etc.... and it's titled XP home Security 2011. When it first appeared I eventually had to use system restore to get rid of it but it has now reappeared and now I can't get rid of it. I cannot now access system restore my Advanced System Care won't open neither will Firefox and a full/quick scan on McAfee stops as soon as it begins with a message informing of a problem/error and that I should return to the home page and try again which then of course just repeats the action, oh and it it uses the same shield logo as Windows Security Centre. restart your pc in safe mode with networking, download Malwarebytes Antimalware and allow it update, then run a full scan
