Monitor Madness.!!
6 Answers
Today something has gone wrong.
Normally, when I close down my Desktop Computer I end-up with an on-screen message saying that the Monitor is going to sleep and, whilst the light changes from blue to amber, I am then able to to press the power switch for a full switch-off. However it is now the case that, when I try to fully switch-off, I get an on screen message which says "Power Button Lock Out". Consequently the Monitor cannot be fully switched-off and remains in a state of 'standby' until the Comp. is re-booted.
Does this mean that the Monitor now has a faulty switch or has it received a message from the Computer to remain in a sleeping mode.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't understand why the power button went into a locked mode but your advice has now put things right.

Chris.....If you are still threaded to this one.....What about comps being left on, shall we say all day and only closed-down at night time.? I am not bothered about the electricity cost but keep closing and re-opening mine, because I feel that whilst the circuitry may accept the position there are some mechanical parts which could more readily break down.
