Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me why I am limited to the number of contacts I am able to send or forward mail to at one time? If I send to 10 or less contacts at one time (no matter how large) there is no problem....but 11 or more is rejected with a "to many recipients" message given. Thanks for any help forthcoming. Tel

From what I can find there is a limit of 15 recipients and it doesn't matter how you split them between to, CC or BCC. it also seems they may block repeat emails going out in a short space of time to try and bypass the limits.

If I recall correctly you have your own domain? if so the only way round it may be to pay for and use a proper (i.e. more professional) host for...

Maybe it's to prevent the sending of spam.

Are you putting the names in the To box? Maybe try putting a longer list into the CC box instead and see if that works
It's not outlook express, it's your mail provider restricting you, who is your provider?

As factor says, either try them in the cc or the bcc field

(as a side note, if you are sending emails to lots of people it's generally considered good form to put the addresses in the BCC field so you're not sending a list of everyone's email addresses to everyone that receives the email)

HI Chuck, Pleased you are around, I always use the bcc box for all mail (which I would like all senders to adopt) As you say it eliminates giving addresses out to "un-wanted eyes"......My ISP is Sky....So, any furthse suggestions please?
How many recipients do you need to send your emails to?
If it's only 20 or 30 then it shouldn't take too long to send the same email 2- 3 times, but I can see it's a pain if you want to send hundreds of copies.

Thanks Guys, My usual "Block" email send-out is 25 / 30 each time so I guess Chucks suggestion of using the domain server. Once again, thanks for help. Tel
