I can open email attachments in Word 2000 which I use but I cannot read email attachments in Wordpad even though I have it installed also. All i get is a page og hieroglyphics. How can I change the text into readable form? Any advice appreciated.

Is it a spreadsheet?- you will need Excel or Works spreadsheet I think to read that

What's the original file attachment format?

You can't open 'anything' with Wordpad.
