what do you put in google to find a genuine friendship site-not dating? I am annoying 2 people, but feel lonely. Or would it be better to make effort to be more friendly to facebook friends I don't know-yes I'm sad, but genuine question, so hoping for no nasty comments. TIA
Ummmm, suppose not, sara is right, not gone out since transplant, need to get my life back-after all I nearly died, and have been in house a lot since, although nowhere near 100%, a lot of people worse off than me..
What are your hobbies/interests? Plenty of free forums to meet and chat to people. As it's been advised, why not try local clubs...walks, talks. Lots out there. Good luck!
bagpuss - virtual friends are all very well (I love coming on here, for instance) but they are only part of it - you need to meet real people, for the social interaction. It depend how fit you are after your op, but join something unexpected - I joined our local drama group to get involved outside the home, in the town there is a knitting club or tea dances (which I'd love to join but it's in the daytime!) - do you go to your local library?
If it suites your lifestyle then get a dog, a great companion who if you look after them (that doesn't mean let hem dominate you) will not let you down and it is amazing how many contacts you will make when you take them out. You will also know that whoever you meet has an interest in common and personal contact always beats the ether. Even if it just gives you confidence then it is a bonus.
