My system is W7 & the search engine I am using is Google Chrome. When I open my gmail I click on To or BCC for my list of contacts & all I get is a blank page, please can anyone suggest how to open my list of contacts?
Have you got some kind of pop-up blocker on Whiskeryron? Could be that?
Hc,
I think WR is trying to get a contacts list to appear when he clicks the link label "To" next to the "To" field. This usually results in a pop-up of contacts you can pick from.
chelle7272, I have recently installed Google Chrome which is reputed to be a very fast search engine ( which it is ) previously I was using Firefox. When opening Gmail in Firefox to send a message to my contacts I simply click on To or BCC in order to indicate to whom I wish to send my email then immediately a page opens with the list of all my contacts & I tick those that I wish to send to. With Google Chrome however when I go through the same procedure the Contacts list opens but remains blank. I have just tested Firefox again & it is ok, Google Chrome is not.
Hi Ed thanks for your input, I have checked for Pop Up Blocker & have unticked Block Pop ups. Still the same a page opens entitled 'List of Contacts' but remains blank.
After turning off the pop-up blocker, you probably need to refresh the page before it will work correctly. If you use Adblock plus, you really don't need a pop-up blocker.
Thanks headwreck, I know that I can bring the contacts up by typing in the 1st letter my problem is I have about 30 contacts & I have been so used to bringing them all up through Firefox & ticking the ones I wish to send to I was hoping to do the same with Chrome, I do like it & it is so much quicker than Firefox, if you can figure a way to do this please get back to me.
Thanks hc but no. It works perfectly if I use Firefox but not with the browser I wish to use Google Chrome I still get a blank (blue coloured) contacts page with nothing on it. I have started using Hotmail for my emails & everything is ok but if I attempt to go back to using gmail result =Failure.
