How to download unwanted toolbar

I have somehow managed to install a "WiseConvert Community Toolbar" while I was attempting to download some instruction manual or other. (I forget what it was!).
I thought I had managed to abort the download in time but clearly not. Now every time I connect to my home page on the interenet. this annoying toolbar appears.

I don't want it! Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it?

I have Googled "Hhow to remove ...." but that just appears to give me links to further download sites which, quite frankly I view with some suspicion.

Help! Please!

I think if you put your cursor on the offending thing, right click and an option comes up to get rid of it. (am not a techie so hopefully someone will point you in the right direction)
This might help. I'm not a techie either.

That's three of us then (non-techies, that is!)
Thanks for your replies
I've actually managed to do it. There was a tiny, innocuous looking icon at the top of my Google Chrome page. Right clicking on this had the desired effect.
yay, !!! A success is always good news. :-)

Sorry, headwreck, I hadn't seen your reply when I posted my "that's three of us" comment. Should of course now read "...four of us"! Hope you didn't feel left out.

Thanks for your reply!

I *think, and I'm no techie either lol, it is still there just hidden
To remove these tool bars, in my experience, you should go into your uninstall programmes to remove it completely

Thanks again Headwreck - and OJR2 - for your comments. I've had a good root around Control Panel ¦ Programs and Features and searched just about everywhere I can think of and I do believe that it has gone!

Once again, thanks for all your answers. We non-techies must stick together!

Just a final, non-techie, parting shot:
I've just noticed that the heading of my question was "How to Download ..." It should, of course, have been "How to Uninstall..." but you all knew that, didn't you?

Michael, we knew that. We are fluent in non-techie speak :-)

Yep, HW, that's more or less what I did. At least, after I'd done it as described in my first answer, I actually checked that it had gone by following your procedure. (Sorry, that sounds rather surgical, doesn't it?)

Your answers are almost rivalling those I normally associate with Chuck and Rojash! (Is that what you mean by humouring you?!)

Well, that was a most interesting hour!
One question and 17 answers (only six from me!) on a relatively trivial subject.

Thats what AB is all about!
