Is there a simple way of adjusting mouse [or is it cursor] speed? Blinking
thing is too fast at the mo and is causing mr. c probs when playing games!

Yes, it's in Control Panel ("mouse")

Yes, it's under mouse in control panel

(although some games may have their own settings for the mouse speed in the game options.)

Usually, start>control panel>mouse>pointer properties - then set speed of pointer as required
