Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced printer as my old Epson has packed up.At my age 86yrs I do not want anthing special. I only need it for printing out the odd document and letter. Thank you in advance
Harry
Hi Harry, I found myself in a similar position recently and bought another Epson. It's an SX235W, is wireless, although I do use it via a cable, has a scanner as well as printer and cost me £46 if memory serves. Toner cartridges are really cheap as well, provided you don't buy them from Epson.
You'd need to tell your supplier what operating system you're using, because many modern printers won't work with some older versions of Windows.
Hi, I am about your age and use an Epson Stylus SX415 but is not wireless. However, I do not use it very often so there is a question about cartridges. I have tried compatibles which have caused trouble so I use genuine ones, cheaper through Amazon. The genuine ones contain a special fluid which prevents clogging.
I wouldn't worry about the removed reply, ironmonger. Whilst the post may well have been reasonable (I didn't see it) it seems it was made by a user who has since been banned from AB and in such cases all the poster's posts get removed including the reasonable ones
