At the right hand end of my task bar there is a dimmed out reference to Norton 360 (which has just been installed). At the left end there are just 3 quick launch icons, with dimmed pointers to click and see others. How do I get rid of these dimmed bits so I can control the task bar myself? Thanks for any advice.

Right Mouse click on the task bar and you should see an option to unlock / lock the Task bar.

With that unlocked you should be able to drag stuff around within the bar, plus delete / add stuff.

You can also select Properties that will give some more options to 'play' with.

Thanks Pinkyboyid. It worked. I hadn't thought of unlocking the taskbar.
