Have you rebooted the PC? Sometimes the sound drivers won't load and you have to reboot to try and force them to.
Does it work on headphones?
Do you know how to check the drivers?
earwax?

earwax? Not a bad answer ael
Sure the wires are all the way in? Check again and give them a good 'push-in'.
ISP has nothing to do with anything here. Try rebooting your PC then see if you have sound please TWR.

Poster does not even say it is a computer, it must just as easily be their TV.

Are we supposed to be mind readers !

On SKY Methyl, Desk Top, Wndows XP, Norton, Not for Music, I do not bother with that, It was something on You Tube Regards a car Problem that I could not hear due to no sound.

I'm sure I put this in Computers!!!! Is that TV?
Do you have a cd/dvd drive on your computer?
If so, have you tried playing a music disc? If this plays OK there's something wrong with the Youtube clip.
Do you have another device you can plug your speakers in to, just to eliminate them?
Has your comp been moved/knocked? Possibly the soundcard (if not a mainboard one) has come loose.
Also, if you do have a separate soundcard, you could:
1) shut down the comp and unplug it
2) remove the soundcard
3) plug back in and fully boot up the comp without the soundcard
4) shut it down again/unplug
5) re-mount the soundcard
6) plug back in and re-boot the comp again and see if that does the trick.
Also check in your device list to see if there are any exclamation marks in yellow triangles.
