I used to have AVG but that ran out so I have now installed Kaspersky 2013
as it was a free offer as a Barclays customer, the problem is every time I log in to websites such as Answerbank and others that have always remembered my "log in details" I now have to log in manually every time and it gets a bit much every time you open another website, can anybody tell me why this happens and how to rectify it? I have looked in Kaspersky settings but being a computer numpty can find nothing obvious.
Change your anti virus protection program. If you're using Windows, then Microsoft's own anti virus protection is as good as any, and you won't have to re-enter your details every time
It's a feature of Kaspersky, possibly as a ploy to get you to buy Kaspersky's Password Manager for in the region of £20. Personally, I wouldn't spend any money but do as suggested by BlueToffee and install Microsoft Security Essentials; a free AV programme which will Not give you the problem you have at present.
If you have looked in Kaspersky settings and there is no any option that avoid such manual login issue then better is to move to other protection program. Actually there are many issues with Kaspersky internet security 2013 like file format issue, Quarantine issue, Parental Control etc...
Here is the source you can look at: support.kaspersky.com/8617
I have Kaspersky. I don't have that issue.
Are you sure something hasn't been coincidently reset or something ?
In any case try checking the security levels or something like that.
Sounds as though your browser settings are preventing cookies from being saved. That would stop sites remembering your login details. It would be unlikely that any reputable virus checker would prevent you ever using cookies.
