Sound Quality Of Youtube
After finding success in my last post about opening docx files I am hoping you can help me with another problem please?
I did ask on here last week but couldn't resolve............
When playing YouTube videos the sound has suddenly gone strange, missing notes and stopping and starting. If a picture is playing with the music, their mouths are out of synch when singing to the words. Difficult to explain but maybe someone can help me - it is almost as if I have a loose connection on my speaker but I don't think it is that, the sound is driving me mad as nothing plays properly. Thanks in advance for your help :)

Thanks for your advice methyl.
//The idea is to run this command from the Windows command prompt (start/run/cmd): ping youtube.com -n 10 //
I did this methyl and I got a list like yours but it quickly disappeared off the screen so I couldn't copy and paste the results here for you.
//Again from start/run/cmd , what do you get for:
dir c:\ | find "bytes free" //
Also tried this but it didn't seem to like the dir when I typed it in, just came up with an error message. :(

While Methyl correctly indicates that it's always best to 'ping' the site you're having problems with (i.e. Youtube in this case) it might be worth running a ping test to a different server (simply because this way of doing it doesn't end up with results which disappear off the screen).
http:// www.pin gtest.n et/
(Simply click on 'Begin test' and report the results here. The pretty graphics don't actually mean anything but the numbers at the end of the test do).

Thanks Chris, it is still the same I thought it was almost cured :(
I did the test you suggested - results here:
Packet Loss failed due to Java not installed or firewall blocking (I must check this)
Ping 39ms
Jitter 2ms
Grade B*
78.150.173.39 TalkTalk
Broadband speed test 7.8mb download, 0.6mb upload.
