To see your memory: go to my computer, for your hard drive left click on it the go to properties.
I think KT84 means to "right-click" on your hard drive icon and choose properties. Left clicking will just open it.
Unfortunately the matter is rather simple. If you do not have a recordable or writable CD drive, then you cannot record or re-write CDs. Both internal (IDE) and external (USB1/2 & FireWire) CD-RW drives (which both record and re-write) are extremely cheap nowadays, as in sub 30, and they're not hard to install for the internal ones. A monkey could use an extrenal one, had they the inclination.
Of course, it really depends on how much music you want to transfer, and how often you'll be doing it. I, too, would suggest a USB memory stick if it's not much but you're doing it often. These have come down in proce signficantly over the last year, and you can get 256MB and 512MB ones for very reasonable prices (though re-writable CDs work out significantly cheaper in the long run).
