Asus Notepad - Wi Fi Only - Help!
22 Answers
I bought this for holidays and can use it in hotels with free wi fi - great.
However, I did not realise that I could not use it with a 3g dongle like my laptop.
Occasionally when I visit other parts of Uk it means I have to take my laptop.
Will I have to exchange the tablet for another that takes 3g or is there any way of using this tablet with my dongle
Thanks all

Moggie...you appear to have a tablet, not a notepad ! A notepad is a small laptop, and a tablet is like a Ipad. If you now say that you have a tablet, then I may not be able to help as I am not familiar with tablets.
But I am sure someone on here will be able to assist you.
What is the exact model name and number please ? This is info that people will need if they want to help.

You can use it with a 3G wifi device such as this one:

I connect my tablet to the internet when away from wifi by turning my smartphone in to a wifi hotspot and using my phone data. Works very well for me

I have only a basic mobile phone so no good, but you mention this Mi fi!
Have looked at it on your link but do not understand how it works!
How does it connect to my tablet as I only have a mini usb connector.
Currently when away I have to take my laptop for which I have a dongle with O2 which I buy a 30 day option.
Please explain in simple terms how this Mi Fi works
Thanks again

Daffy has explained it very well. :) It's just like your broadband dongle inasmuch as you buy the unit either on pay as you go or contract and pay for the data you use, but instead of plugging it in to your tablet, laptop or pc you connect to it by wifi exactly the same way you connect to any other wifi spot.
An advantage is that more than one device can be connected at a time.
