Hi, I'm planning a surprise weekend away for my partner and myself. Trouble is my partner occassionally uses my laptop and quite often questions my google history (nothing of any interest), so can someone remind me how to delete my history so that my surprise will really be a surprise?

Apparently it all depends on where you want to delete google history from.

Just type in "delete google history" ingoogle and you will be given the instructions on how to do it.

Click the "3 bars" symbol (top right) - hover on "More tools"; click "Clear browsing data".

In the pop-up window that appears, tick/untick the boxes as you require, select a time frame from the drop-down menu, click "Clear browsing data" & away you go.

If you are using Windows it is very easy to set up a user account for you and him, with a password. Then each of you log on to your own account, and he cant see your browsing history and you can see his.

The other option is to use InPrivate Browsing.

If you are using Internet Explorer then on the Tools menu select InPrivate Browsing then no information about web sites you have visited is saved.
