Can anyone tell me how to clear the history name that appear on the google search bar as a drop down, when you type in the first letter of a previous search item.
It well nigh impossible to delete the names that come up even if you hit the clear history button in the search box or the clear history in internet options.
Hope I've explained this well enough to all you out there. thanks in advance

I've tried clearing the cookies tin and temporary files but to no avail. Gee you guys are on the ball
Don't type anything in the search bar, bu click on the dropdown arrow. It will list a few history items, and then at the very bottom will be an option "Clear my History"

Tools - delete browsing history - delete forms

cannot see a browsing history/delete forms. I've deleted tempory internet files and all cookies in the tools/ internet option/ Am I missing something or going to a the wrong tools menu? Sorry for being a bit non PC literate
Doest this help?

Internet Explorer keeps track of each URL that you type in the address bar as a convenience to save you from typing the next time that you visit that site. However, any user that uses your computer can find out what addresses you typed in as well so some may be interested in clearing the address bar addresses. Just clearing the browser history will not do this as a registry modification is needed:

Click on Start, then Run.
Type regedit in the box provided.
In Regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Typed URLs
Then just delete all of the keys that list the URL's you no longer want to see.

Are you on windows XP internet explorer 7? First option I get when I click on tools ( at the top left of the screen) is delete browsing history. When I click that it gives the optio to delete forms.
Or I can also click internet options in tools, click delete browsing history and get the delete forms option in there.
The advice from rojash worked for me.
Bravehearted, click in the box (don't type anything) and when the drop down list appears, press the delete key on your keyboard. Don't hold it down, though, just click lots of times until everything is deleted. Really simple and works everytime for me. :)
Just tried that whiskeysheri, it does work, never tried that way before.
