Limited Connection

Can anyone help. I keep getting limited connection on my laptop which is connected through wifi. I have searched on the internet and tried several things but nothing has worked.

I suggest that you run a test on your internet connection using Speedtest .net and see what your actual internet speed is. If it is slow then you will have contact your ISP and have them run a test on your line while you are talking to them . If it is slow then your router can only deliver what the connection will give it to send to your wifi network . Remember your wifi is not the same speed as if you were connected by Ethernet cable it is a lot slower

Resetting the TCP/IP stack usually fixes the problem. (It's certainly worked for me on several occasions):

Thanks for replies. My partner uses a laptop off same connection and she don't have this problem so don't think it is the connection. As for resetting the stack, i have tried that

Try reinstalling the Wireless Adapter Drivers. You be able to download the latest version from your Laptop manufacturers website support.

I have reinstalled my wireless network adapter and still having the problem. Getting frustrated

An alternative is to consider using a Usb based wireless adapter costing a few pounds that may have a greater range and possibly more robust drivers, For example, see the following item (costs 2.99 delivered and there are other types to chose from around same price on ebay if you do a search):-
