Chrome Problem
Chrome is my preferred browser, but I have been having page loading problems recently.
It particularly happens on advert heavy sites like this or the Mail on line, and seldom occurs on BBC News. Pausing Adblock doesn't seem to have an effect.
When loading a page the little whirly thing goes round and round, and I cannot scroll up and down even though most content is displayed.
Eventually a warning of non responsiveness appears.
I have tried Firefox and it doesn't happen there, though I would prefer to keep using Chrome.
I guess some component needs updating or reinstalling, but I need help identifying what needs doing.
Any suggestions please?

They do develop updated and faster graphics cards (or even chips in smaller devices) these devices handle all your pc graphics requirements aided by the Central Processing Unit. When you disable the hardware acceleration you are transferring all the "work" to your graphics card and its drivers.
if it is a google chrome problem, wish they'd hurry up and sort it out.
After 3 x page unresponsives, instead of reload box showing on right hand side of screen, a box with different words shows up (can't remember what it says off-hand) which is supposed to report the problem to Google.
Would appear that they are ignoring anyone clicking on that box

Well I have now uninstalled Adblock, but it is no better.
I am sure it is in some way related to the adverts, as gov and BBC websites seem to run fine.
When it is hanging, a little box in the bottom left corner says 'processing request'. That box normally flashes up the various tasks it is performing, so it looks like it is arriving at a task and not being able to do it.
I'll just have to go back to using Firefox, though that annoys me the number of times it stops for updates.
