I could do with a new one. My 'V' has come off and it's harder to press the little plastic button underneath where the key should be.
I can think of quite a few people around here who might benefit from using a PC ( = 'politically correct') keyboard ;-)

However, as far as computer keyboards go, I always keep a spare one handy anyway, so that when 6kg of low-flying cat lands on my existing one I'm not left with nothing to type on.

(Similarly I always keep a spare mouse handy, so that when a cat decides to 'kill' the one I'm using - usually by chewing through the cable - I can still use my computer).
If you have a nice backlit one (not blue or red) I'll take it off your hands.

Answerbank is really touchy. Posted before I had chance to Enter Further Question Details.

I was going to say that if you do then they are nowadays really cheap.

You can purchase something worthwhile for as little as £5.99( incl. p&p)

I was having a somewhat minor problem with my Keyboard... the letter D would sometimes print but Not always. So I went 'on-line' and bought a really super item for the price I have said.

I am Not advertising, so will refrain from mentioning a manufacturers name. However, I am 'over the moon' with the one I have bought and would say .....at the price, what does it matter if it fails after a statutory guaranteed period of twelve months. In fact, if my purchase fails within 6months I shall Not bother to make issue at 25pence per week.

Is there a blanket ban on naming brands that could help another user review first and then purchase the same product that you did?

Perhaps Buenchico has more knowledge than I do as regards when is a posting in AB is regarded as unsolicited advertising and subject to being removed.

Anyway it will not matter if a posting of mine is withdrawn as long as I am Not. So here goes.

The keyboard I bought is a 'Highpoint' and purchased through Amazon. (£5.99 incl. p&p.)

I have a laptop so a new keyboard isn't really going to help. I could do with a new laptop, or my 'v' key mending.
I got a new keyboard for my laptop as some letters were missing and others sticking. Works perfectly now. Pretty easy to fit.
Did you do it, Prudie? What was the process, please?
I replaced the keyboards on two laptops - straightforward job if you can find good instructions.

I got a cracker of a keyboard for £4 from Tesco
When I bought me new PC last summer, I just put the keyboard that came with it, away in a cupboard, in case I needed it, and carried on using my small ADVENT key board that I have had for years.
My keyboard is an integral part of my laptop. It's not separate. It's hinged at the top and closes like a book. The keyboard is sunken into the bottom part of the machine.
What's the make and model, Tilly?
I've seen Poundland with keyboards. £1!!!!!!!
If their keyboards are anything like their tin openers then i think i'd pass

Tilly.... If you reply to the question put by hc3461 I feel sure that you'll get good advice to sort-out your keyboard. However, if you do not feel confident to tackle a replacement of the keyboard then you could purchase a 'free-standing' item as I mentioned earlier at £5.99. and plug it into a USB socket on your laptop.

Fitting a new keyboard as an integral part of your laptop is Not too complicated and would be along the following lines:-
