I thought the new regs prevented proliferation of cookies. But I regularly clear all cookies (which does make first-time re-entering some sites more onerous, but only slightly so), because I find I accumulate hundreds and hundreds of the bloddy things which must affect performance/storage.
Included in my last clearance was one for Instagram - a site I have never used - so how did it get there unless sites are acting unlawfully ?

Just as most people visiting AB never bother to check on all of the possible sources of cookies from here, you've almost certainly visited a site where you could have accessed a full list which included Instagram but you just chose to click on the 'accept all' button instead.
