Mr B has decided he wants a laptop, mainly for browsing the internet and emails. I think I heard sometime in the past Celeron processors were quite slow. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one? Thanks.
Are you looking for something to run Windows or another system? If you are looking at a Windows enabled lappie I can recommend Hewlet Packard machines. I have had one for 8 years and it is still going strong. I have changed the fan but that is pretty normal after so long. If you are looking to spend more I can thoroughly recommend the Microsoft Surface set ups, particularly if you also get the keyboard cover with it. I will have a look at prices and get back.
I have one of these.....superb machine with a touch screen and the keyboard just clips off to give a tablet. If you go down this route get the Bluetooth arc mouse top go with it. In fact with any lappie I would say get a wireless mouse because the touch pad whatsit is a bind.
Looks good that, Togo- thanks. I have an old one which is similar but it's only got 28GB which is wayyyyyy too low as Windows 10 takes up almost that much- so the 128GB would be much better for me. All depends though on whether i can transfer my Microsoft Office across or would have to rebuy it
Thank you for your answers. He already has an iPad but now wants a laptop. I have a 7 year old HP laptop which I have not had any problems with (touch wood) but it did cost more than he wants to spend. I will have a look at those links when I have more time, Togo.
