Scrolling Screen On Pc

i have just recovered my sons pc after receiving a virus
the problem now after about 10 to 15 mins of computer time
the screen just scrolls down the bottom page and will not stay at the top
we then have to turn off manually
once it is back on again everything is fine again for about 10 to 15 mins
and it repeats the same problem
i have recovered with the microsoft licenced disc again but no joy
any answers out there

Sounds unlikely to be virus related. Maybe the monitor or the graphics card. Try a different monitor with it.

Try a different keyboard. (I suspect that there's a problem with the down arrow key, or with the Page Down one, forcing pages to scroll down).

Ah... if it only scrolls so far then stops, rather than continually rolling, then an input device like a keyboard, as cause, seems more likely. I think that I misunderstood the description.

If it's had a virus, just reset it to manufacturers installation.
