Only to the slavers, of course. The idea that slaves might deserve anything seems not to have occurred to the Britsh.

The British ended the slave trade and slavery. Many British sailors died in the process and the economy had to adjust sharply. We have nothing to apologise for.

My late Yorkshire MIL used tea bags numerous times, I once threw away a cup of dirty water, apparently it was her tea!

On the subject of Edinburgh's waste, now the Festival's finished it'll get worse, the Festival employed people to collect their fliers etc and they took a lot of regular rubbish too.
