No Connection Message

I was in the middle of sending a new message on my Printer thread in Technology, when the message popped up on my laptop 'Driver Support One could not connect to the internet'. Is this why I cannot use my printer? ( though that message did not appear yesterday) Scanner element is OK now, BTW. I have normal connection on my phone and tablet. What is going on? And how can I resolve it, please? I have tried disconnecting WiFi and laptop, but no change.
