Hi, computer has just installed updates but now can only get screen with time and date. No programmes or internet. Anyone have ideas.

sounds like your icons are missing. What happens when you click start bottom left? Is there a list of programs?

Don't even see cursor. Nothing on screen but time and date.

Have you tried rebooting the PC

Turn it off, turn it on again, see how you go.

do CTRL+ALT+DEL together and look at the task list, is anything running?
