Photo to desktop

I have a 6x4 ordinary photograph, which has great sentimental value to me, and I would like to put it on desktop. I have an Epson Stylus CX3650 all in one but no matter how I try it will not allow me to create it in desktop. It is either far too large after scanning or far too small any suggestions please?

im not sure what errors you are getting, but try this

1) open the image in a web browser, like internet explorer - you can just drag it into a window.

2) right click on the image and select "save as background"
