sky+freezes

i have a problem with sky tv i have asked this question before early this year ,my recordings either when i play them back to re-record on video tape it freezes ,or when i record on the sky +box it might record a few minutes and freezes.what i usually do is record a series on sky+ and then record them on to a video tape ,i haven't used it for awhile started recording them down today and after a lot of problems with it it switched its self off,i unplugged the set ,and switched back on and all the programmes i had recorded said failed,although previous to it switching off they had all recorder can anyone help or advise me thanks kath

sounds like a hard drive failure.one for the engineers methinks !

thanks for replying matt i have looked at sky again today still couldn't get failed recordings to play,so i thought i would have to get it seen to,but i thought i would try to record and see what happens,i,recorded twice today and its worked fine so i,ll see if it keeps up hopefully it might ,if not will have to get seen to .
