I was checking the memory on the comp and it seems that SIMS 2 was taking up 2,800 MB... I have uninstalled it much to the horror of the children....but when i went to reinstall i needed a code that was in the instructions, which they have lost. any idea how to get the game back on and also why has it taken up so much memory. I am not a whiz on a comp but have a fair understanding...lol thanks in advance

The Sims 2 does take up a huge amount of memory. According to their website, you need 3.5GB of RAM just to install the basic game, you will need even more if you have any expansion packs.

As for the product code needed for installation, do you know anyone else who owns the games? Borrow their code. If not, I'm not sure what you can try, I tried emailing EA Games once as I bought one with no code supplied, they were less than helpful.
Cheelychops, you got that wrong i'm afraid, 256 megs of ram. 3.5 gig hard drive space. If it required 3.5 Gig of ram it would prevent about 95% of computers from handling the game, lol and that is from Sims 2 website!
Is the code not stuck on the back of the CD case ?

They often are.
