Changing the registration of a PC?

Ive recently bought a reconditioned computer and its registered in someone elses name. Could some one please tell me how I can register it to my name?

Register with whom?

Or do you mean on the pc itself?

sorry I meant the PC itself
Ok

Click Start - Run

In the box, type

regedit

Click ok.

Find the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

In the right pane, double-click Registered Owner.
Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.

Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor
