defreagmented your hard drive? - My computer and right click the C drive then properties then tools tab and analyse then defragment.

this may not solve all your problems but its a start. Apologies if you knew it already.
When photos are transferred via internet, picture quality may begin to look blurred until all the data making up these photos are recieved, the amount of time that these pictures take to download depends on speed of your connection and how big (mb) the file is.

how fast is your broadband meant to be?
Do you see the photo eventually?

I would check the speed of your internet connection and see if it is what its meant to be.

The problem could be that your using a faulty phone extension (or the extension could be too long) this creates bits of data information to go missing by the time it reaches you (the still aplies if you are using wireless and the data is being sent from too far away.)

You can check your internet speed from this website http://www.speedtest.net/
