Internet on go slow

I am on 2meg broadband which usually runs quick enough , watching video clips on sites like 'youtube' has never been a problem untill recently.

Every time i play a video clip it stutters its way through stopping and starting annoyingly.
Also in general every time open a new page on the net its taking a lot longer than it used to.
I have anti-virus and firewall installed.

I always clear my temp internet files aswell.

Is there a FREE spyware or anything like that to cleanse my PC to see if that helps?

I keep finding these FREE SCANS but then you have to pay & register to go any further.

Any help appreciated

Hi there dajstar I am on 2 meg ntl and also like you just lately I have had the same prob not only with youtube but with videos from other sites as well but it rarely used to happen ( I blame it on global warming lolll) dont think it can be spyware as I run a very good free proggrame called spybot search and destroy and I run that every week and it always picks up around 10-20 pieces of spyware and at the risk of starting a riot on here I and most other people on here will agree that spybot is the best free spyware avalable (god thats opened up the floodgates hasnt it).
Of course there is quite a few other realy good free spyware out there as well.
Anyway back to the other quistion (as they say in france) I will be changing soon to sky broadband 8 gig so will maybe know if the speed has got anything to do with whats just happened or some other thing.
Come on very helpfull guy where are you down the pub, give us both some advise on this.....
Just one more thing to ad I think and I stand to be corrected here if you keep getting being offered free scans then I think the reason for this is that you do have a load of spyware on you comp and you will also need a pop up blocker .
Right must go now as have had a few beers while writing this and me grandkids have just come round so I need to do some serious drinking to block the noises out

Spybot sounds good to me so i'll try that , maybe its just the web if you got the same problem .
