I recently (and very stupidly) deleted an important folder that i needed and emptied my recycle bin, but if i set my computer back to a system restore point before i deleted the file will the file magically appear there? Or am I out of luck?

I dont think so, but its worth a try, no harm to be done!! You can also get programmes to find deleted files, im not sure what the programme is called though, I think it is a free download!!

Thank you ratter! I don't particularly fancy doing all of that work again :-( Do you by any change know what the programme is called?

Thank you xx
I've had good results with the program "Restoration" (near the bottom of the page, from SnapFiles); try to use the PC as little as possible until you run it (it can be run from a USB key) as you may overwrite your folder with "new" information.
