Just been reading thru last weeks post about matching bed sets etc and by the sounds of it some people change their beds more than once a week - i probably change mine once a fortnight - am i unclean?? Change it more if its sweaty hot summer weather or an unnatural amount of sex phase but those weeks are few and far between these days!!

Once a fortnight here too. Though Mini Boo's (24 mths) gets changed weekly, or whenever she spills her milk on it, whichever comes 1st!
I change mine at least once a week. I changed my bed sheets on thurs last week and then again on Sunday and my daughters I changed Thursday as well and again today. I'm obsessive though so don't go by what I say.
It's a coincidence though coz me and my sister in law were talking about the very same thing the other week and how my other sister in law barely changes her sheets.
I was thinking about posting this question as I changed my sheets this weekend! I also change them once a fortnight unless I spill something on them, then they get changed straight away and as I live in a student house and eat on my bed, I spill stuff on them a lot :(
About once a fortnight I think but I dont really write it on the calender. Unless any of the above happen then earlier.

I think answer bank is the only place you will get honest answers to these things as most people frown when the subject comes in case they are part of the "great unclean" aboungst us.
Used to be once a week here, then Mr Boobs took it on as one of his 'chores' (that makes him sound 12!) so now its once a fortnight, I dont mind though, saves me a job!
once a fortnight
about once a month - if i can be arsed
my cleaner changes my bed on a daily basis.
i change mine and my sons bedding every week more in the summer. but i do it mostly because i love the smell and feel of fresh clean bedding. U have to agree after a long hard day there is nothing better then crawling in to your own bed with fresh clean sheets on? i just love that feeling!!
I love that feeling too, but unfortunately do not have the same enthusiasm for ironing sheets and duvet covers. I usually change them once a fortnight unless any of the already mentioned occurrences mean that they need doing sooner!
Who irons sheets and duvet covers except for guests - and not even then. If you shower/bath every day then the sheets aren't likely to get really disgusting so just change them when you've got the energy/the weather is good for drying them on the line outdoors.
Oh, so I'm meant to change my bed linen?

Does that explain the funny smell?

Chris
;-)
depends on how much humping i do janetsflower

So it seems the norm is fortnightly then unless anything happens in between times. But i always change them last thing i do before going on holidya so there is a nice clean bed to get into when we get home
When there's a nice sunny/windy day I might say to myself "Time to change the sheets, I think" and I'll yank them off the bed. When people shower once or twice a day I don't think they get sufficiently dirty to wash every week. . Call me a ****, but I think life is just too short to be that puncillious about such things. I'd rather be reading a good book, pottering in the garden, or doing 101 other more interesting things.
looks up the word 'puncillious'

No idea what it means but what a great word!
figi, i always iron my duvets and sheets if its a valance thought everybody did!!
I turn my sheets once a week but change them once every two weeks.

No hard and fast rule really. I generally change the bottom fitted sheet every week, or more often if I feel it needs a fresh one. Same with pillows, I will changes them more often than the duvet cover if I feel like a fresh set.
Once a week - I love the feel and smell of fresh sheets. I'd change them more often, but I hate putting duvet covers on!
