Me and my mate have exactly the same cookie settings, that is Allow Sites to set Cookies and Ask Me Every Time.

On some sites she gets asked if she wants to accept a cookie and I don't. Neither of us have any cookies in our cache, we clear them when we close firefox down. We are both using the latest versions, the only difference is that she has the Mac version and me the PC.

She even gets asked to accept a cookie on my website and I haven't set anything up to require cookies. Any ideas?
