How can i organise my favourites in INTERNET EXPLORER , so that they are in categories, have tried dragging and dropping but that does not seem to work

Dragging and dropping should work OK - I've found you have to be quite precise about when you drop, though. Just click "organise favourites", create the folders you need and then drop your links into the appropriate folder. You can even create sub-folders, and if you're as sad as me, order the links in each folder into alphabetical order.

Organisng Favorites in that window is somewhat on the small side, but you can do it. It's easier to go to C:\WINDOWS\Favorites or C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Favorites and sort/add/move from there.
