when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

the Shire Books part of the same company has an amazing list of titles covering the world's most obscure interests - misericords, bus tickets, bobbins, the Edwardian seaside etc. I've got lots of them. Plus they reprint the old Bradshaws (which I think is making them quite a bit of money lately).
Question Author
oh, and put yourself on their mailing lists - they have 3-for-2 sales and suchlike quite often.

In fact there may be one on now, if you can see this catalogue

I've always found the best way to find out if an offer's still going is to ring them up; they seem very friendly.
Ah yes Eric Gill ..we have his only church here .The Roman Catholic Church of St Peter.

Oooh there are some lovely railway things on there Jno .I've already bought a couple of Bradshaws for Mr S .I might find something nice on there for him for Christmas .
An uneventful day at Shaneytowers ,Oight Oight .

and the day's Best Answer award goes to ... the envelope please... shaneystar2!
good morning all. Have a very busy day ahead, brekkie, then taking hija to airport, then shopping with Mr N, then tidying up and getting house straight, it's like a bomb has hit it!

Hope you are all OK.

Back later xx
Morning each...grey and very miz again :( First thing I saw was a hawk under the cherry tree tearing a pigeon/dove apart so, depending how you look at it, that wasn't a good start to the day for one poor thing...or a very successful start for another....
.....which is similar to me being minus one in best answers and shaney being plus one. sob Don't get excited shaney, just like me you too will be stripped tomorrow....I think there's another side to this cherub of ours

Some fascinating books on that site...I've ordered Allotments for neti's xmas stocking.
lateish good morning here. dogs hunted the garden till late which was a good thing as very foggy this morning. Glad to say that knee is back on track. We get a lot of wood pigeons in the garden. The dogs never catch them but i do sometimes find sad little drifts of feathers on the grass.
Bing Bong NETI! when you stop whizzing around can you go back to the Hayleys Diary thread in cb please...we demand to know where you got your information from.
woofy even sadder was the perfect white egg next to the feathers, I assume it must have been inside the bird (there was no nest above)
Question Author
oh, do the Best Answer figures go backwards when one is removed? That's a shame, I was hoping to give everyone's statistics a little boost in the pre-Christmas rush.
Oh Robi that is sad. Still having a grey day here. I think we'll go shopping later.
Here I is back again, hija gone (she had to rearrange her luggage at airport, 2 kilos over so went into hand luggage, I mean whats's the point??) Did shopping, came home Mr N promptly sat down in front of the tv and hasn't moved since, I have done 2 loads of washing, tidied hija's dreaful room, so much everywhere, unpacked all the shopping on my own, prepared moroccan cous cous lamb and veg, took bags of rubish to the dump, cleaned kitchen floor and mopped it. Now on bed with cuppa and PC.

Roy? no idea but I know I read it somewhere!!!
Hello all
Not a bad day ,very mild actually .Hope you're all ok .
Thanks for best answer Jno .I expect I'll be minus one again though when Neti gets best answer for her gardening tips .
I often find feathers and beaks ..next doors cat being the culprit here :(
All I find is the front half of lizards crawling along, and many a lively teeny little mouse, and a few drad mice and rats.

There you have it jno best Answer! ^^

shame there's no tab for yukkiest answers around here, everyone would share.
Damn and double damn!!

Oh it's a lovely feeling to know that the house is tidy ish, and will remain so . Cous cous was OK Mr N loves it but it's not my favourite. I've actually had a bath instead of a shower but wish I hadn't am sweating like a proverbial again. Ceiling fan whirling round, have talked Mr N into rearranging the lounge and hopefully we'll buy some units for the Tv etc along one wall and modernise it all a bit. Monday he is painting the bedroom yippee (we have new black sheets, not satin) and yes they will show the dirt so it's not for that reason.
This am we went to see what had happened to our desktop tower, taken in on 8th for a guestimate, it's still in the repair shop being estimated!! OMG cheaper to get a new one I guess!
at least I don't find half eaten things in the garden, whatever catches the birds (I suspect a fox) take all the bits away.
I like cous cous but it has to be the packet ready flavoured kind.
I have no idea how it feels to have a clean house......
I am enjoying a glass of really good white wine tonight Its a Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon. I had it with smoked salmon.....well sometimes you have to....Dessert is Hotel Chocolat salted caramel chocolate puddles which are big chocolate drops with chips of salted caramel in. I have been having a getting hungry but not fancying food phase so it was really nice to cruise a supermarket today and actually want something.
