opening photos
when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

Morning all..who pinched my sunshine? It was glorious and now it's grey....oh, hang on, the clouds are moving.
ugh! If I'd ever eaten eels I wouldn't now. I suppose it must be difficult not discussing weird incidents if you work in health related areas but, quite rightly, don't turn it into a sideshow. It's bad enough that I live in fear of one day finding my bazoom mole smiling back at me from some internet page.
I've been thinking... surely not? ....humans are supposedly getting bigger but technology is getting smaller and more fiddly by the day. Will we evolve to have tiny hands with pointed fingers? Just wonderin'....

Robi, it is one of the reasons that I am pro electronic health records. The systems that I have seen record who and when looked at the record and if its someone who shouldn't have done then they automatically can get hauled in to explain themselves, also its possible to limit who can see what. Paper records can be passed around like Hello magazine, photocopied and generally misused with no controls at all.
TBH, most people's medical records are deeply boring and most health care employees are honest and ethical people, but when sensational meets dishonest...

Yes woofy, that's good and how it should be, but unfortunately you can't stop people talking...especially when they've had a few. Thankfully I think I'm in the boring category and I hope I remain that way. I was once the talk of the hospital, but that was in a good way....that maribou thong certainly got me some attention ;o)
Poor Ozzy, it's been in the mid 40'sC down there and tonight's minimum is forecast to be 28C :( I couldn't stand that.

yes, that's what happened, woofgang, it was a digital X-ray showing two skeletons in undue proximity and it seems hospital staff all over the place were logging in to snigger at it - except our guests, who by sheer good luck didn't hear about it until the file had been made private, otherwise they'd be in durance vile instead of in Cambridge.
Neti REST!!!!!!
I made a great dinner tonight. Frozen king prawns, mussels and scallops cooked from frozen with frozen chopped shallots. I added a splash (well a slosh actually) of white wine, took the fish out and reduced the liquid then stirred in a tablespoon of Hellmans mayonnaise to finish. Poured the sauce over the fish and ate it with a jacket spud.

Good morning, damp and overcast here but Mr N is taking me out somewhere, can't be far as it a tiny island (and boring).
I've put the cat among the pigeons at home, my sister's 50yr old step daughter has started to attack my sister when she is drunk, threw a table at her last week, and she drinks everyday from morning til night. So I have told the older brother to step in as someone has to look out for my sister, she's an old woman, and she pays all the other woman's bills and mortgage and is just too helpful. I hope my sister won't be too cross with me, but it has to stop, she'll be 72 this year and it's just not on. I wanted to speak to her myself but decided that her brother should know all aboout it.
Oh well let's see if my sister gets cross with me.

mr N and went to the Salinas at the south end of the island to see the flamigos there on the salt flats, we walked miles but it was an easy walk and lovely breathing in the air. The we collected the car and drove right to the end, it was beautiful and calm and peaceful, and I wasn't out of breath or anything. we then ate in a Spanish restaurant, plain spanish food but huge amounts and fresh and beautifully cooked, plus a bottle of Rosê wine. Just had a bath and am now back in bed with a slight headache, probably the wine.
