Illustrator and Photoshop eps

For some reason on my Mac which is running Tiger it no longer recognises which app to use to open eps files with, I have had to "apple i " an eps and set them all to open with Illustrator which is annoying when it is a Photoshop eps. This is all using CS3 by the way

I'm not sure what caused it, but you can get the free Preference Pane 'DefaultApps' to sort it for you.

Obvious question, but you are still using a suffix to the file names aren't you (e.g. .eps)?

You could also try repairing permissions in First Aid which might fix it.
