Internet connection lost

I connected up my internet connection with the modem my provider supplied me with back last october. All was fine and I always got a connection. In Feb I switched it to wireless modem and both computers in our house could connect. Last week I frequently lost connection and the last 3 days no connection at all. The modem can't pick up a dial tone even though the telephones work and the sky can pick it up.
I reinstalled all the modems and software again. I tried taking out all the phones which were using filters so basically the modem is the only thing connected to a phone port. BT have checked the line, my provider has checked the line and they say is an internal problem. How can this be when I only got the modem plugged in via a filter? I haven't touch anything since Feb.
I really tried everything I could think of. Help please!

If you are you'll regularly need to reboot the router
do this by typing this into internet explorer
192.168.0.1
the username is admin and password is sky
go to the diagnostics part on the left and then reboot router. After that restart the pc and hey presto.
To make it more stable do this at a peak internet time, around 4-6pm so your router can sync at a higher noise margin to stop it from disconnecting at the lower amount when its not busy (usually 5.2db)
If your not with Sky then i've just wasted my time havent i >? lol nvm

Let's start from scratch.
You are using ADSL ... so each phone point requires a filter .... the filter should have 2 sockets ... an oblong one with 6 connectors (phone) .... and a square(ish?) one with just 2 connectors (RJ11 - modem)
to be certain - wherever the line comes into the house there should be a special socket (nte5) which is "split" into two halves .... the top (internal) part can be unscrewed and unplugged from the fixed back (external) - and so you'll be left with a socket connected directly to the feed - see

from here you can isolate the internal and external wiring.
plug a filter+ modem in here ... and you are certain nothing else can interfere
The phone and dsl should work without filters .... but not at the same time (that's what the filter does).
you've disconnected all the phones .... but have you plugged a phone into the socket you are using for the modem?
have you moved the modem to one of the other sockets?

Thanks for the advice, I tried it last night. I disconnected every device from all the telephone port (3 in total). Located the master port and connected the modem up. The same thing happened, the modem couldn't get a dial tone. I tried with a different modem and computer, but nothing.
However, when I use the telephone to ring someone it crackerly. Is it possible that the line signal coming into the house is not strong enough? Does getting a dial tone through the telephone not necessary mean that I should get one through the internet?
I'm really at my wits ends!
