Deleting Norton/Symantec

My new comp came complete with Norton 2007 on Windows Vista....I have long given Norton a wide birth and use AVG Proffesional. But, as many of you know, it seems impossible to remove norton/symantec from Vista. (only by purchasing a removal tool at $59.... Can anyone out there help please?

I know what you mean but surprisingly norton 2007 got "best of breed" in pc pro and pcw

I suppose after 2006 it couldn't have got worse

Thanks MAC70...Will give it a try....Was told it was ok for XP but not Vista...Anyway we will see.
You are so right ACtheTROLL...2006 didn't do anything for my PC speed...Took it off (XP) and loaded AVG Prof...no problem at all
