why is my computer now slow?

my computer has slowed down significantly and now i cant listen to radio as the page never fully opens, it gets to , say, 80% then just grinds to a standstill, why?

Do you mean your computer has slowed down or your internet connection?

From what you are saying it sounds like your interent conection is slow.

If you have a broadband connection there are a number of web sites which test your broadband speed. Try running one of them and see what sort of speed it says your connection is.

There is also a program here to test your broadband speed.

I am using Kaspersky Internet Security, but my problem seems to have gone since i got rid of System Mechanic 7. . dont know why, as friends use it with no probs. Anyway thnx for your reply!
