I have installed most of what i want on my new HP desktop but i've run into a big problem. i seem to be blocked by windows vista from using realplayer. i get the message: "you do not have the necessary user permissions to enable Au toUpdate. Please contact your system administrator for more information."
i am at a total loss to understand this. what am i supposed to do? my old computer played realplayer without any hassle.

neildownx, i have succeeded thanks to you. realplayer is working at last. but what an appalling hassle. yes, i uninstalled and reinstalled it. but one wonders if microsoft really is trying to make life as difficult as possible for us. already, after less than a day, i'm having severe doubts about vista. i bet i'm not alone. mate, many thanks again.
